THEATRE OF THE STREETS
The streets are a myriad of sights and sounds, smells and tastes. And characters—the ladies parading in Queens Park at Easter, the gossips at the bus stop discussing social politics, the snow cone vendors and even the ‘limers’ on the block are the true pulse of our nation. Yes, Bajan streets are alive with comedy, tragedy, triumph and frustration; style and rhythm, colour and carnival.

Theatre has always been a way to tell stories though speech, gesture, melody, dance and spectacle.

Theatre of the Streets” is a dramatic narrative of Barbados describing the music, people, cabaret and pageantry as we pay tribute to world renowned theatrical productions to showcase very showy and extravagant costumes.
